We are hoping that this weekend we can have our first overnight visit and then shortly there after she will be here to live with us.....I didn't realize what a long process this is but for the safety of all parties I believe it is for the best....Even though, we firmly believe that God is placing her in our family for a specific reason.
This past weekend she spent both Sat and Sun with us. On Sun she had asked if her sister could come for a visit. We agreed knowing how close she is with her. Well, it turned into a little family reunion. Her sister came along with her mom and a few friends. At first, to be honest, I was a little concerned, however, once I met them I was overcome with peace. The peace that surpasses all understanding.
Phil 4:7 Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
As I saw her mom sitting at my kitchen table, I knew that God's plan was not just for this girl, but also for her family. I don't know if she will ever be able to live in her own home again, but what I do know is that God is working in her life and that of her family. Our prayer now is not just for her but for her parents and her sister. That they would know God's love. I can't imagine how difficult it was for her mom to sit in my house, at my kitchen table, knowing that she was going to be leaving her daughter behind with total strangers, taking care of her daughter. My heart longed for her.
Again, I am so humbled by the fact that God is using our family in such a way.
OUR FAMILY IS GROWING!!!!!
