So  our 5K is scheduled tomorrow...It is supposed to be a beautiful day with lots of sunshine!!!!!  We spoke with our adoption agency yesterday it looks like our travel dates for the first trip will be sometime mid Oct to mid Nov.  Which means Bekru may be home for Christmas!  WOW!!!!!

I read a statistic not too long ago that there are between 147-210 million orphans in the world.  If just 7% of Christians adopted there would be no more orphans.  That seems like such a small number.  I commented and said that if I didn't believe in God's provisions and if I didn't trust Him we never would have begun this process.  We believe that this is God's calling for us to adopt this little boy named Bekru from Ethiopia.  We also believe that God provides for our needs.  If you are reading this blog, would you please consider, in one way or another helping these orphans. You could make a difference in one little person's life that could change their future and the future of those around them.

I had a converstation with our foster daughter yesterday and told her what a blessing it was that God brought her into our family.  She said "Yeah for me."...I had to share with her that it was also a blessing for us!  I don't know what our life would be like without her!  Yes, we looking to care for this little boy from half way around the world and give him a chance at life. A chance outside of an orphange, a chance to live to see the age of 18.  But he will be such a blessing to our lives. We love him so much already!  He is filling out hearts with love and we have only seen his picture.

It has been such an amazing path to adoption thus far and we still have a long way to go.

Thank you all so much again for your support, love and assistance!  He will surely know how much he is loved!

SEE YOU TOMORROW...
